Hark the Herald Angels Sail

Published 19:16 on 4 Dec 2017

We wrap up warm and sail all through the year. There's a lot happening in December: cup racing and the end of Autumn Points Series, Riverbanking to the pub and Toe in the Water to help you get out in a boat. Have a look at what's going on now…. What are you waiting for!

Christmas Riverbanking and Toe in the Water: Saturday 9th. Rig at 10am for a social sail to the pub maybe for mulled wine or a Hot Toddy.

Christmas Punch Bowl and Toe in the Water: Sun 17 Dec. This cup was presented by Mrs E R "Jo" Salt in 1969. There's a tradition that the winner fills it with champagne for the competing crews. And that it's available in the club on Christmas Day for serving punch. START TIME: 10.50

Vindaloo Special: Pappadum Plate/Heffalump Cup [H]: Sat 31st Dec. If anyone knows how this event started – let us know - maybe to keep us HOT in the dark Winter months? START TIME 10:30 for racing.

And then join us afterwards for a curry lunch for a bargain £7.75. Book by 28 December to avoid disappointment!

"I saw 3 ships come sailing by"

And because Corinthians love to party as much as they sail... don't miss out on our social events.

Linden House Christmas Lunch: kicks off the Christmas celebrations on Sunday 10th at 1pm. Don't forget to book!

Christmas Carols on Tues 19th Dec is the event of the year. Mince pies, dodgy Christmas jumpers, dodgy vocal chords and a collection for the RNLI, this event is not to be missed.

PS We're still looking for volunteers to run races around the Christmas and New Year period, so if you can – please sign-up on www.dutyman.biz
